Cancelling Preply

Cancellation stops your next 28-day billing cycle from charging. It does not retroactively refund lessons you've already had.

Cancellation steps

  1. Open your subscription settings in your Preply account.
  2. Select the tutor/subscription you want to cancel.
  3. Confirm cancellation before your next billing date.

That is the shape of the flow rather than a click-by-click path. Preply moves its account menus around, so treat the labels above as a guide and follow whatever your own subscription settings actually say.

What happens to unused lessons

Cancelling stops the next charge; it does not empty the block you have already paid for. Hours you have bought sit on your account rather than with one tutor, so you can still book them. What you cannot do is get the current cycle refunded automatically, which is a separate request covered on the refund page. Billing runs every 28 days, so check the date before you cancel and use what is left.

For how the cycle itself works, see how the subscription is billed.

Will I get a refund for the current cycle?

Cancelling stops future billing. It does not automatically refund the lesson block you're currently in, so check the refund page for what you can get back.
